Welcome 2020!

Shen Yun…….New!
Date: Thursday, January 23, 2020
Cost: $130.00 per person
Departure: 10:30 a.m.
Due to many requests the past couple of years, I’ve been able to get tickets for this amazing show! “Shen Yun’s unique artistic vision expands theatrical experience into a multi-dimensional, inspiring journey through humanity’s greatest treasurer – the five millennia of
traditional Chinese culture. This epic production immerses you in stories reaching back to the most distant past. You’ll explore realms even beyond our visible world. Featuring one of the world’s oldest art forms – classical Chinese dance – along with patented sceographical effects and all-original orchestral works, Shen Yun opens a portal to a civilization of enchanting beauty and enlightening wisdom.
Enter a world where philosophers and poets alike sought harmony with the Dao, or ‘Way’, of the universe. Where maidens danced with ethereal grace and generals fought with explosive athleticism. Where timeless tales of valor and virtue were born.  Where heaven and earth intersected, and even magic was possible!” We will see a matinee at the Detroit Opera House where we will have main floor seats. There will be a lunch stop on the way to Detroit which will be “on your own”.

This trip features a ‘Double the Fun’ Musical Variety Show at the Victoria Playhouse in Petrolia. Two funny favorite performers team up to pay tribute to the terrific twosomes of stage, screen, music and pop culture. Can these multi-talented entertainers convince you they are
the real deal? Likely not, but you will certainly laugh with them as they go from Adam and Eve ( yes, they sing) to Sonny and Cher, and from Fred and Ginger (Yes, they dance…sort of) to Donny and Marie. A little bit Country, a little bit Rock and Roll: it’s a good old fashioned Variety Show with familiar songs like “I Got You Babe”, Cheek to Cheek”, “Endless Love”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Summer Nights”,“Islands in the Stream”, “Jackson”, and comedy bits borrowed from the likes of Abbott and Costello, George and Gracie, Lucy and Desi, and even Siegfried and Roy. (Warning: Celine Dion may make a random solo appearance.) As well as main floor tickets for the 2:00 show, this trip includes lunch at Olive’s and the motor coach. We’ll make a short stop after we cross the border on the way home for those who need something to eat. We should arrive back in Clio between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m.
